- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆Amazed at the cost of visiting urgent doctors Dunedin. I am a pensioner. and was quoted between $95 - $110 for a consultation. Here are the Otago health people are telling us to refrain from non medical emergency treatment at the hospital ED department as they are over worked. Is it any wonder that people are forced to get urgent treatment at the Hospital. I think a constructive suggestion would be for the urgent doctors to realistically price their consultations for urgent treaments. when I visit my MD I am charged $28.By Happynzlr, April 18, 2018
